Installing your Buzz Lite fly catcher correctly is crucial for capturing the maximum number of insects. Follow these expert steps for the best results.
What’s in the Box?

- Drill Machine

Step 1: Choose the Perfect Location
The right spot makes all the difference!
- Height: Install the unit 6 to 7 feet from the floor. This is the natural flying height of most houseflies.
- Light Competition: Place it in the darkest part of the room. Do not place it facing a window or under a bright tube light, as sunlight competes with the UV attraction.
- Food Safety: In kitchens, install it away from food preparation areas (at least 2-3 meters away) so insects don't fly over the food to get to the trap.
Step 2: Wall Mounting
- Measure: Check the back of the ABS machine for the "Keyhole" slots. Measure the distance between the two mounting holes accurately.
- Mark & Drill: Mark these points on the wall using your marker. Drill holes and insert the plastic wall plugs.
- Insert Screws: Tighten the screws into the plugs, leaving about 5mm of the head sticking out.
- Mount: Carefully hang the machine onto the screws and ensure it sits firmly against the wall.
Step 3: Activating the Glue Pad
- Take the Glue Pad provided in the box.
- Peel off the protective release paper to reveal the sticky yellow/black surface.
- Slide it in: Locate the pad slots inside the machine (usually behind the tubes). Slide the pad in carefully with the sticky side facing outwards (towards the tubes).
Step 4: Power On
- Plug the standard 3-pin plug into a grounded socket.
- Switch it on. You should see the 3 blue/violet tubes glow instantly.
- Tip: Keep the machine ON 24/7 for the best fly control.
Maintenance & Care Tips
1. Changing the Glue Pad:
- When? Change the pad every 30-45 days or when it is 70% full of insects.
- How? Switch off the machine. Slide out the old pad and dispose of it in a dustbin. Insert a fresh Buzz Lite refill pad.
2. Replacing UV Tubes:
- When? UV tubes lose their attraction power even if they still glow. We recommend changing all 3 tubes once every 12 months (approx. 8000 hours of use) to maintain peak performance.
- Safety: Always unplug the machine before changing tubes.
3. Cleaning:
Wipe the ABS outer body with a damp cloth to keep it looking new. Do not use harsh chemicals.
